Saxon from Metro Retro is back after supplying Pinewood studios with lashings of industrial midcentury wonderment for their latest Judy Garland biopic featuring Renee Zellweger as the starlet who arrives in London in 1968 to perform a series of sell-out concerts. Often seen on the telly himself, Saxon has a wealth of knowledge garnered from thirty years in the business. Yes he was a wee nipper when he started at Camden Lock back in the days we used to jump on the barge to sniff around the latest Levis drop.
1968 was a huge year for iconic movies as vintage poster company Orson and Welles will contest. 2001 A Space Odyssey turns 50 this year as well as Bullitt, Barbarella, Planet of the Apes and The Thomas Crown Affair and the show will be packed to the hilt with pieces in recognition of this landmark year.
We have some fabulous new dealers for you to check out this Haggerston: Charlie Four Legs, HareFur, I Love That, Paul Tucker, Retro Pattern, Red Door Posters and the wonderfully named Mrs Benn who specialises in Welsh blankets and children toys from the midcentury.
Welcoming the return to Modern Shows® of the fabulous Russell at London Timepiece who will be producing a wall of clocks for our Midcentury East show for the first time.
And Sophie from the brilliant East London shop Beton Brut is back after a brief sojourn with the following precious unique pieces and more.

plus a whole load of other dealers who we have to thank for turning Haggerston school into a midcentury emporium, “a destination”, “design heaven” twice a year.
